Full time associates can take two average weeks of Paid Parental Leave following the birth, adoption, or foster placement of your child through the JCP Paid Parental Leave. To request Paid Parental Leave, notify your unit leader and call the JCPenney Absence Management Center.

As your family grows, so does your need to protect your family in the event of the unexpected. Review your life insurance and AD&D insurance coverages to determine if you have sufficient protection. Increases to these coverages may be subject to evidence of insurability and carrier approval.
Consider your legal needs.
Welcoming a new child to your family is a good time to review your legal plan. If you are enrolled in the JCP Legal Service Plan, you can speak to licensed attorneys to receive assistance with issues like developing a will and estate planning. Need financial assistance with adoption expenses?
The JCP Adoption Assistance plan will provide a tax-free reimbursement, up to $5,000 per covered adoption, for adoption expenses that are reasonable, necessary, and directly related to the adoption of an eligible child. Contact the JCPenney Benefits Center for more information.
